Born in India, Mala was raised in the tri-State area and was introduced to the Hamptons in the ‘80s by her husband, Jeff, whose family has been on the East End since the 1940s. In 2000, Mala took the leap from a successful career at IBM to living the dream in the Hamptons. That’s when she discovered her true passion: Real Estate. Mala’s meteoric rise in the industry can be attributed to the marketing and negotiation expertise she honed during her career in tech, complemented by her passion for and involvement in the local community. Mala is on the board of the Bay Street Theater and is passionate about giving back to many local charities. When not cooking and entertaining, Mala loves going out to eat, and rides herPeloton to burn it off. She even plays the piano when she has a second to spare but considers her career in real estate just as much a passion, as well, which is evident to everyone she works with. “I like to do the things I’m good at,” she says. “And I’m really good at doing this.”
